Megyn Kelly Shares HILARIOUS New Nickname For AOC And Her ‘Squad’

Commentator Megyn Kelly is no stranger to taking on progressive politicians, especially with her latest joke about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and her “Squad.” In a conversation with venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya and his “All In” podcast co-hosts, Kelly didn’t hold back when asked about the current state of American politics.

“It’s getting worse because of Instagram and AOC, that kind of person,” Kelly said. While Palihapitiya urged her to elaborate, Kelly delivered a zinger that was sure to ruffle some feathers in progressive circles: “These are congressional Kardashians.”

The “Squad,” which includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), has often used platforms like Instagram and X to mobilize their supporters and push progressive policies, a strategy that Kelly clearly took issue with.

“I’m going to tell you something, my experience in the news business, dealing with politicians leads me to believe that the people in this room and on this stage over your two-day conference are the people we need to be looking to for our future leaders and ideas and to save the country,” Kelly said. “It’s not Washington DC. All the incentives to be a good person are gone.”

Ocasio-Cortez, known for her outspoken stances has gained a massive following, but she’s also become a lightning rod for criticism from those on the right, like Kelly. “All AOC wants is to be a star. Congressional Kardashian,” Kelly tweeted during the first day of the 2024 DNC in Chicago. In 2022, Kelly called the congresswoman a “moron” as well.

Last week, presidential candidate Jill Stein also fired shots at AOC, claiming “AOC is the attack dog du jour and the Democrats are running scared” after trying to take her off the ballot to ensure votes for Democrat nominee Vice President Harris.
