‘The View’ co-host Joy Behar was shut down by R&B singer, Usher, after she literally begged him to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday.
The singer/rapper, whose full name is Usher Raymond, appeared on the liberal show where the hosts expected him to spew Democrat talking points.
Spoiler alert: He didn’t.
Usher told the disappointed hosts that he was not a political person, much to the dismay of Behar.
“In this emergency that we are in I think that artists should come out and speak for Kamala against Donald Trump because he is an existential threat to the country. What do you say to that?” Behar asked Usher.
Usher responded, “You know what? I don’t get too deep into politics. I didn’t get the chance to watch the debate last night. I obviously have been watching everybody else. I think voting is an individual choice.”
“I think that, you’re right, we have to look at the reality of the country that we are and the country that we want to be and find the candidate that you feel fits the category of what you want to be,” he added.

“And that’s it, that’s what you vote based off of. Who you highlight and who you choose to highlight with whatever platform that you have is your perogative.”
Usher’s refusal to endorse Harris is largely significant because he supported Barack Obama in 2008 and even went as far as to incorporate a call to action within one of his songs.
Has Usher awakened to what the Democrats really stands for?
The shift in minorities towards Donald Trump in recent years is undeniable.
As we reported in June, a CNN host could not hide his shock at the massive loss of support for Joe Biden among Black voters, all of whom had shifted to Trump.
Usher’s remarks also came after Meta CEO Mark Zurhkerg told former President Donald Trump that he wouldn’t vote for Democrats in the 2024 election.
“Zuckerberg said he’s never supported a Republican before, but after seeing how the Democrats have handled things, and after watching what I did that day, he couldn’t believe it. He said, ‘There’s no way I can vote for a Democrat this election,’” Trump said.
