Kerry King of Slayer announces 2025 tour, NYC show. Get tickets today

2025 just got quite a bit louder.

Slayer guitarist Kerry King just announced a North American tour that will send him and his backing band — featuring Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph— to venues all over the U.S. and Canada in January and February.

Late in the 28-concert run, they’re slated to headline at New York City’s Irving Plaza on Friday, Feb. 7 along with special guests Municipal Waste and Alien Weaponry.

The nationwide trek is in support of his recently-released debut solo album “From Hell I Rise” and comes on the heels of King’s recent jaunt supporting Lamb of God and Mastodon.

“We’ll be headlining on this next tour, so we’re playing a longer set than we did with Lamb of God and Mastodon,” King said. “We’ve got a little bit of a learning curve, so will start rehearsing the first week of November. And we might put an extra Slayer song into the set and learn a cover song or two.”

Fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Kerry King shows on sites like Vivid Seats; the official on-sale is Friday, Oct. 4.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Kerry King new music

King’s debut album “From Hell I Rise” hit shelves on May 17, 2024.

Made up of 13 heavy tracks, the album is ear candy for fans of metal and rock alike.

The opening track, “Diablo,” is a thumping anthem just waiting for a Major League closer to claim it as his own. Other standouts include the freewheeling “Where I Reign,” brooding “Tension” and no holds barred “Rage.”

If you’d like to hear for yourself, you can find “From Hell I Rise” here.

As an added bonus, check out King’s music video for the aforementioned “Where I Reign” below.

Kerry King band members

In addition to King and Bostaph, the Slayer members will be joined by Death Angel‘s lead vocalist Mark Osegueda, Machine Head/Vio-lence‘s guitarist Phil Demmel and HELLYEAH‘s bassist Kyle Sanders on the road.

Kerry King special guests

At all gigs, King and co. will be preceded by a pair of opening acts. If you haven’t heard their stuff before, here’s a sample of each group’s sound:

Municipal Waste: “Wave of Death”

Alien Weaponry: “Kai Tangata”
