Joe Jonas drops Diddy lyric from ‘Cake by the Ocean’ during Paris concert

Joe Jonas is scrubbing Sean “Diddy” Combs from his music.

Jonas, 35, avoided singing Combs’ name while performing his band DNCE’s 2015 hit “Cake by the Ocean” at the Jonas Brothers concert at the LDLC Arena in Paris on Saturday.

The original lyrics go, “Walk for me, baby / I’ll be Diddy, you’ll be Naomi, woah-oh,” which references the disgraced rapper’s relationship with Naomi Campbell in the early 2000s.

However, fan footage from the concert showed that Jonas left Combs’ name out of that part of the song.

On TikTok, fans speculated what Jonas said in the revised lyrics.

Some thought Jonas sang, “I’ll be Martin.” Others said they heard, “I’ll be Watts.”

Jonas is not the first performer to change their song lyrics amid Combs’ legal issues.

Kesha’s hit 2009 single “Tik Tok” opens with the line, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy.” But while performing with Reneé Rapp at Coachella in April, after Combs’ ex Cassie Ventura accused him of sexual abuse in a lawsuit, she changed the line to, “Wake up in the morning feeling like, f – – k P. Diddy.”

The 37-year-old confirmed in August that the change was permanent and gave credit to Rapp, 21, for the idea.

“I will re-record it when I have legal rights to!” Kesha wrote on social media. “Now, my first baby stands for so much. It stands for fiercely protecting my fun and unadulterated joy, in myself and in others.”

Combs is currently facing three charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He has pleaded not guilty on all counts.

Following the “Bump, Bump, Bump” rapper’s Sept. 16 arrest at a New York City hotel, federal prosecutors unsealed a 14-page indictment featuring allegations that Combs hosted “freak offs” — “elaborate and produced” sex parties that he would allegedly lure women to participate in for his enjoyment and that of his guests.

Combs previously spent years boasting about the many parties he threw that major Hollywood stars went to, including the Kardashians, JAY-Z and Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher and more.

After being denied bail twice, Combs remains behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, awaiting his next court appearance scheduled for Oct. 9.

Combs has also been accused of sexually assaulting more than 100 people, including a 9-year-old. The alleged victims are expected to file lawsuits against Combs in cases that will expose “many powerful people,” lawyers said.

Dozens of allegations involve “violent sexual assault or rape, facilitated sex with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recordings [and] sexual abuse of minors,” according to Texas-based lawyer Tony Buzbee.

Combs’ lawyers have insisted their client is innocent.
