Pennsylvania Dem Rep. Susan Wild’s car booted in DC after racking up $775 in fines, parking in handicap spot

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Washington gave a Pennsylvania Democrat the boot last week, clamping a wheel on her Toyota RAV-4 after the rep racked up hundreds in unpaid fines for a string of parking violations in the District — including illegally parking in a handicap spot.

In turn, the city handicapped her car with a vehicle boot in its Navy Yard neighborhood, photos The Post obtained show.

Parking-enforcement documents reveal Rep. Susan Wild, a third-term Democrat representing Pennsylvania’s toss-up 7th District, owes $775 for four separate violations.

To get the boot removed, she’ll have to pony up at least $475 of what she owes.

That’s the cost of two tickets for tag and speeding violations she committed in December 2023 and May 2024, respectively.

The two other tickets — which account for the remaining $300 Wild owes — are for separate tag and speeding violations she committed in May 2024 and July 2024, respectively.

An older photo shows Wild’s vehicle, a white SUV with a Ukrainian flag and a handful of other bumper stickers slapped on its rear, parked illegally in a handicap space without the proper placard needed visible.

This isn’t the first time we’re hearing about Wild’s wild driving habits.

In 2022, a distracted-driving activist called her out for taking a Zoom call with constituents on camera, behind the wheel — as she drove erratically — slamming the rep for being “stupid as hell.

National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Mike Marinella says Wild owes the public an apology.

“Susan Wild’s complete disregard for her constituents and the general public is a concerning pattern that she should apologize for,” he told The Post.

“Wild continuously talks down on her own constituents, disparages local veterans and can care less about the rules because she likes playing congresswoman instead of actually delivering results for Pennsylvanians,” he added.

Wild, who’s running a tight race against GOP challenger state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, is also no stranger to strange controversies, having been forced to apologize multiple times for saying rural residents recently added to her district “drunk the Trump Kool-Aid.”

The rep’s personal Facebook account has also caused her some grief in this campaign, as she called a veteran she met at a Memorial Day parade this year “homophobic” and previously encouraged people to “pay a visit” to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s home in 2019.
