Ana Navarro Embarrassed After Her Debate ‘Analysis’ Is Ripped To Shreds By Liberal CNN Guest

CNN political contributor Ana Navarro has become the latest to fall victim to delivering a cold take on the Trump-Harris debate.

During a panel hosted by anchor Abby Phillip, the liberal analyst declared she heard the audience “laugh at” former President Donald Trump on Tuesday, a first in her long career. “There were so many memes, there were so many Tik-Toks, there was so much coverage today – no no no!” she shouted as she attempted to keep her colleagues from firing back at how off-base she was. “That’s curated to you and your feed, right?” Olivia Nuzzi from New York Magazine reminded Navarro. Evidence be damned, she soldiered on, stating there were “so many debate watchers listening to Donald Trump and bursting out in laughter at how absurd it was.”

Navarro, whose recent weight loss prompted speculation about her health, was firing off social media posts after Tuesday night’s showdown including one where she responded to President Trump’s claim that migrants in Springfield, Ohio were eating the pets of residents. “Donald Trump and MAGAts are using… paranoia around immigrants to try and build a fear in American voters.” Trump mentioned that the claim originally came from residents in Springfield who claimed to have witnessed migrants catching and eating wild ducks.

When Navarro took a breath, Nuzzi jumped in to remind her colleague that most Americans aren’t clamoring around bars and kitchen counters to watch presidential debates. “Normal people are not in a debate watch party though,” she countered. “A swing voter who’s probably not that invested in politics is not at a debate watch party. That’s abnormal behavior.” She conceded some of the liberal anti-Trump memes may reach those voters but that “there are memes on the other side, too.”

This isn’t the first time that Navarro has responded incredulously to the November election. In May she had a mini-meltdown when asked to respond to growing support for Trump among Latino Americans. “I think America has a little bit of amnesia when it comes to Donald Trump,” Navarro said on CNN. “People already know the guy’s a misogynist. They already know he’s a divisive face and they seem not to take him literally or seriously. They think it’s kind of part of a clown act entertainment.” She continued, “There are some Latino immigrants who forget they came here as immigrants and who want to shut the door behind them, and who think being anti-immigrant somehow is going to make them pass as more American. And that’s a very stupid attitude to have.”

Perhaps the only takes on Tuesday’s debate that actually matter came from undecided voters who told media outlets that they were disappointed to hear a lack of specificity from Vice President Harris. “I still don’t know what she is for,” said Mark Kadish, 61, an entrepreneur in Florida, told Reuters. “There was no real meat and bones for her plans.” Robert Wheeler, 48, a security firm executive in Nevada who was previously leaning toward Harris, said her posturing and platitudes left him feeling more committed to voting for Trump who he said has actually proposed tangible policies to back up his promises. “I felt like the whole debate was Kamala Harris telling me why not to vote for Donald Trump instead of why she’s the right candidate,” Wheeler said.
