Billy Joel announces New Years Eve concert at UBS Arena–Get tickets

Billy Joel has a new New York tradition.

For the second straight year, the “Piano Man” will headline Belmont Park, NY’s UBS Arena on New Year’s Eve.

This one-off gig will be the Rock Hall of Famer’s first arena show in New York since wrapping his legendary residency at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on July 25.

“Welcoming Billy Joel back to UBS Arena is the perfect way to celebrate what has been a hallmark year for the new venue,” UBS Arena Senior Vice President of Programming Mark Shulman said. “Capping off a stellar year that has featured legendary performers, marquee sporting events, and family shows with our hometown hero is the perfect way to ring in the new year.”

According to Set List FM, the 75-year-old New York native performed 30 songs at last year’s New Year’s Eve concert. In addition to the hits you know and love — “My Life,” “Movin’ Out,” “New York State of Mind” — he also mixed in a couple classic covers like “Start Me Up,” “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” “Barbara Ann,” “Whole Lotta Love” and “All You Need Is Love.”

Grammy-nominated singer Regina Spektor showed up to close the show and duet with Joel on his 1980 classic “You May Be Right.”

Fans can purchase tickets for this NYE concert on sites like Vivid Seats as of today; the official on-sale is Friday, Sept. 20.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.
