Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has suggested that former President Donald Trump might skip the upcoming presidential debate, despite Kamala Harris avoiding media and interviews.
During an appearance at the Texas Tribune Festival over the weekend, Pelosi spent much of her time attacking Trump.
Journalist Kara Swisher asked Pelso what advice she would give Trump ahead of the matchup with Kamala Harris.
The aging former House Speaker quipped, “You think he’s gonna show up?”
The carefully selected liberal audience burst into laughter, followed by applause, as Pelosi smugly grinned.
Swisher asked, “Do you know something I don’t know?”
“I know cowardice when I see it,” Pelosi responded.

Swisher said she assumed Pelosi agrees with Liz Cheney, who called Trump a “misogynist pig” on the very same stage during a previous Trib Fest event.
“Isn’t she wonderful?” Pelosi said of Cheney.
Pelosi also told Swisher that “Speaker Emerita” is her current position, but “Speaker” remains her title.
The Trump campaign later dismissed Pelosi’s suggestion of the former president skipping the debate as “fake news.”
“Nancy Pelosi has no idea what she is talking about and has been proven to be a liar and fraud,” Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told Fox News.
“If she isn’t busy giving herself fake titles to make herself feel better, she’s peddling fake news because it’s the only thing she’s ever done.”
Last month, Pelosi casually took credit for ousting Joe Biden in the Democrat Party coup following his awful debate performance against Trump.
Biden suddenly caught COVID and mysteriously became “receptive” to being replaced by Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat nominee.
Pelosi, along with other establishment Democrats – Obama and Schumer, spearheaded the operation to eliminate Biden.
“So I really wanted him to make a decision of a better campaign because they were not facing the fact of what was happening. Just a little background. I’ve never been that impressed with his political operation. I’m not,” Pelosi said at the time.
