Jerry Nadler promises higher taxes for ‘rich white men’ if Democrats take Congress

Rep. Jerry Nadler promised this week that rich white men will “certainly” be hit with higher taxes should Democrats retake Congress.

The longtime New York lawmaker made the apparently serious vow to comedian Lionel McGloin, who posed as a fluttering social media influencer on the floor of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, where he was credentialed as a reporter by The Free Press.

“Can we please this year —  It’d be so brat — have a higher tax rate for rich white men?” McGloin asked a seated Nadler during an interview posted to YouTube Friday.

Rep. Jerry Nadler promised new tax hikes on white men should Democrats retake Congress.

“Well, if you have a Democratic Congress, we certainly will,” Nadler said.

McGloin responded enthusiastically, “Yeah, baby, tax those rich old whities!”

Later on in the video, McGloin ran into New York Attorney General Letitia James.

“Are you worried Donald Trump’s gonna weaponize the justice system if he gets in power?” McGloin asked. “Prosecuting his political enemies”

James — who critics have noted ran for office on a campaign of prosecuting Trump and then did just that — responded without irony.

“Exactly,” she said.

New York Attorney General Letitia James was also trolled during a 20 minute video.

McGloin finished the interview by planting a kiss on James’ cheek.

The 20-minute clip includes McGloin’s interviews with former Trump counselor Kellyanne Conway, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen, director J.J Abrams and “NewsNation” anchor Chris Cuomo — who told him his favorite pickup line is “I’ll pay.”
