JUST IN: RFK Jr. Changes Course, Gives Supporters New Directions For 2024 Voting

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made a surprising shift in his stance on the 2024 presidential race. Previously, Kennedy had only called for his base to vote for former President Donald Trump in crucial swing states, but on Tuesday, he changed his approach.

On social media, Kennedy declared that a vote for Trump is a vote for his movement and the ideals his campaign represented, now urging his supporters to back former President Trump, regardless of the state they reside in. “Bottom line: No matter what state you live in, VOTE TRUMP. A Trump victory is a Kennedy victory,” Kennedy tweeted early Tuesday morning.

In a two-minute video, Kennedy explained his reasoning, citing the ongoing threats to free speech and the need for immediate action to protect constitutional rights. “A lot of people are asking me if they live in a red state or a blue state, should they still be voting for me? What about swing states? The answer is easy—no. No matter what state you live in, you should be voting for Donald Trump. And let me tell you why,” Kennedy began.

He went on to say that Trump’s re-election is vital to combating the “relentless attack” on free speech and the increasing control that government agencies have over public discourse. “Right now, free speech is under withering and relentless attack in America and across the globe,” Kennedy said. “But at least we still have enough of it here, and you can watch this video. We can still run an opposition political campaign. Well, in a lot of countries, you can’t do that anymore because the state now controls the media.”

Kennedy pointed to the recent events in Brazil, where Twitter was banned after Elon Musk refused to comply with the government’s censorship demands. He also took a jab at Vice President Kamala Harris, who is set to face Trump in the first presidential debate tonight. In a clip referenced by Kennedy, Harris suggested that Musk could lose his platform if he didn’t abide by certain regulations. Kennedy used this to back his argument that the Democrat establishment views free speech as a privilege rather than a right.

Kennedy, who dropped out of the race last month and endorsed Trump, is working to have his name removed from ballots in several states. His new plea for unified support stems from concerns that a close or disputed election could deepen the nation’s divide. “As you know, this could be a very close election. A disputed election result would be a disaster for our divided nation. President Trump needs to win in a landslide, both in the electoral college and in the popular vote,” Kennedy explained.

In his message, Kennedy called for unity to “overthrow the entrenched elites” and restore the Constitution. “We have to unify. We have to overthrow the entrenched elites who are now ruining our country. So let’s get Donald Trump elected on November 5th so that we can restore our Constitution, revive the middle class, rescue our democracy, and end censorship and surveillance.” With the first debate looming, all eyes will be on how Trump and Harris present their cases to the American public tonight.
