‘Little Rascals’ star Bug Hall faces backlash for calling newborn son his ‘heir,’ daughters ‘dishwashers’

Little Rascals star Brandon “Bug” Hall is facing backlash after he quipped that his newborn son will be his “heir” and his oldest daughters were described as “dishwashers.”

Hall, who starred as Alfalfa Switzer in the 1994 film, sparked fan outrage when he announced the first of his fifth child and first son, Mark Athanasius Chad Anthony Hall-Barnett, on Tuesday.

“I have an heir,” Hall posted on X alongside a series of photos of the newborn and his wife Jill inside the hospital room.

However, fans across social media questioned why he didn’t mention his older daughters.

The actor fired back at users pointing out that he already has four daughters and wrote “I said heir, not dishwasher.”

Hall’s response is now being dragged on social media with fans calling him “awful” and “disgusting.”

“I pray God protects those precious little girls from your toxicity and projected self-loathing until they’re old enough to disown you,” one user on X wrote.

“You’re disgusting. You’re publicly demeaning your daughters to try and generate rage bait clicks,” another commented.

The star defended his joke to critics who flooded his celebratory post, saying that he and his wife Jill shared a “good laugh” over the remark.

“I made the same joke to my wife while she was in labor. We both had a good laugh. Hard as it is for you to comprehend, most normal people are still rich in humor and joy. Stay miserable, curmudgeon,” he wrote to a person who suggested his wife divorce him for his remarks.

Hall also responded to someone who questioned why his newborn son has a hyphen in his name.

“I legally took my step father’s last name before I got married, because I wanted to honor him by giving my family his name. He’s a great man who raised me from a toddler. At the time I didn’t think it was good idea to get rid of my professional name, hence the hyphen,” Hall responded,

On his X profile, Hall describes himself as a “patriarch to 5 ladies,” a “medieval moralist” and a “patriot.”

He and Jill married in February 2017.

After rising to fame as a child star in the 90s following “The Little Rascals,” Hall went on to perform voice over work in the “Hercules” animated film and more recently acted in episodes of shows like “Castle” and “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.”

His last credit in the entertainment industry was in 2020 – which was the same year he was arrested in Weatherford, Texas over Father’s Day weekend for allegedly inhaling an air duster.

A police report obtained by Fox News claimed the people who reported the incident told police there was “someone by the dumpster huffing.”
