President Joe Biden shared his thoughts on the pivotal presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as an update to his schedule that includes “doing 9/11” in a brief chat with reporters on Tuesday.
“I’m going up to my granddaughter’s birthday in New York, then we’re going to watch the debate, and tomorrow I’m doing 9/11,” the president told reporters outside the White House.
“I spoke to the Vice President, she seems calm, cool, and collected. I think she’s going to do great, and I’m not going to tell you what advice I gave her,” Biden continued.

While President Biden confirmed that he offered debate advice to his vice president, it remains unclear whether Harris will take it after Biden’s disastrous debate performance against Trump this past June.

The historically early debate is widely credited with sinking the president’s political career, as he spoke with a raspy voice from the outset and delivered rambling, nonsensical answers throughout the debate. In one instance, Biden declared that he “finally beat Medicare” before running out of time to give his answer, at which point he appeared confused as he glared aimlessly at debate moderator Jake Tapper.
The disastrous debate led to a shadowy plot led by former President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (R-CA) that was aimed at pressuring Biden to step aside. The plot has been reported on by a number of sources and has been confirmed by Pelosi on numerous occasions.
Speculation has swirled surrounding Biden’s endorsement of Harris, which was done as a “fu** you” to the anti-Biden Democrat leaders after the president was reportedly threatened with the 25th amendment.
Former President Obama is not high on Kamala Harris as a candidate, according to a source close to the Biden family. Tuesday’s presidential debate is a major point of concern for Obama, the source alleged.
“Wait until the debate… She can’t debate. She’s going to put her foot in her mouth about Israel, Palestine, Ukraine. She’s going to say something really stupid,” the source told the New York Post.
