Trump: ‘Maybe God Wants Me to Be President’

Former President Donald Trump said after surviving two assassination attempts that it is likely the will of God that will make him president of the United States again.

In an X-Space interview on Monday night, Trump said, “There’s something going on.”

“I mean, perhaps it’s God wanting me to be president, to save this country. Nobody knows.”

This was the former president’s first public event since his second assassination attempt as he golfed Sunday at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“It was quite something, but it worked out well, and Secret Service did an excellent job, and they have the man behind bars, and hopefully, he’s going to be there for a long time,” Trump said.

“Dangerous person, very, very dangerous person.”

The suspect “believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it,” Trump told Fox News.

“Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out.”

Last month, Trump told Elon Musk that his faith in God has increased following the attempt on his life at his Pennsylvania.

“I’m a believer,” Trump said. “Now, I’m more of a believer.”
