To believe that Vice President Kamala Harris‘s so-called popularity is organic would be the same as believing everything that comes out of the mainstream media, according to Tucker Carlson.
A new documentary by The Daily Caller, “Cleaning Up Kamala,” exposes how the media has reshaped Harris’s public image. It features insights from political insiders and Carlson.
“She’s purely a media creation,” Carlson asserts in the documentary.
Tucker asserts that the media has the power “to create a virtual reality,” adding that “it seems to be working” for the Harris campaign.
Carlson also notes the mysterious timing, saying, “It’s interesting because it’s happening at exactly the moment that the media’s credibility and business model are both collapsing.”
Meanwhile, the Daily Caller notes that major news outlets, including NBC News, CNN, CBS, ABC, and the Washington Post, are now facing unprecedented challenges due to dwindling credibility.
However, with public trust in the media at an all-time low, Harris’s popularity surge doesn’t make sense.
As we reported last year, a Rasmussen poll showed almost two-thirds of Americans believe the media is now “truly the enemy of the people.”
A total of 59 percent of likely voters either strongly or somewhat agreed with the statement that the media is the enemy of the people, the survey found.
But as the documentary notes, Harris’s image-making process isn’t simple misinformation but rather what the filmmakers term “semantic backdoors” – a sophisticated method of inserting technically true statements into a misleading narrative.
The result literally put the public’s perception of Harris at odds with reality.
The Daily Caller argues that “Cleaning Up Kamala” represents a growing trend of independent media challenging mainstream narratives.
The outlet argues that such investigative work is so important in an era where the media is nothing more than propaganda.
“Cleaning Up Kamala” promises to be a talking point in political circles, and rightly so.
However, whether it will make any dent in Harris’s perception remains to be seen.
