Democrat Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said former President Donald Trump does not receive full protection because he is not a sitting president, despite the second attempt on his life.
“The golf course is surrounded by shrubbery, so when somebody gets into the shrubbery, they’re pretty much out of sight,” Bradshaw said at a press conference as he tried to explain the security failures.
“And at this level that he is at right now, he’s not the sitting president,” he continued.
“If he was, we would have had this entire golf course surrounded. But because he’s not, the security is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible.”

Secret Service representative Rafael Barros was asked what the agency had done differently to protect Trump after he was shot during an assassination attempt in July at his rally in Pennsylvania.
“The threat level is high,” Barros said.
“We have increased the amount of assets that we’ve supported. So we are, we live in danger (sic) times.”
The suspect was just a few hundred yards away from Trump when he fired the AK-47 at his West Palm Beach golf club in Florida.
The suspects’s attempt on Trump’s life was thwarted by the Secret Service.
He was later apprehended.
Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino predicted in August the second assassination attempt just weeks prior, saying “something else” would happen, adding, “I pray to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ that I’m wrong.”
At the time, Bongino warned that Ronald L. Rowe Jr., who replaced Kimberly Cheatle as interim director, represents more of “the same people” in charge on July 13.
“Kim Cheatle, the director, wasn’t even fired. She was allowed to resign,” Bongino noted.
