Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was obliterated on social media after asserting that Democrats held an “open primary” that Vice President Kamala Harris “won.”
Reporter Kadia Goba asked Pelosi; you had reportedly said that you wanted an open primary if Joe Biden stepped down. Did you change your mind because you saw all the excitement around Kamala Harris?”
Pelosi responded: “No, I didn’t change my mind.”
“We had an open primary, and she won it,” Pelosi claimed.
“Nobody else got in the race because she was politically astute.”

A community note on X immediately slapped down Pelosi’s lie.
“The Primary was won by Joe Biden. Delegates chose to give their support to Kamala in a Virtual Roll Call, two different things,” it read.
“Kamala won zero votes or delegates in the Primary,” the note continued, citing a USA Today article.
The Daily Fetched recently reported that Pelosi admitted she played a key role in booting Joe Biden off the 2024 presidential election ticket.
The former House Speaker indicated that she and other high-ranking Democrats colluded to remove Biden from the race.
Former President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Pelosi conspired to remove Biden.
X users slammed Pelosi for claiming Harris winning the “open primary.”
“Nancy Pelosi just lied to this black woman’s face because she knows that she can get away with it,” one account wrote.
Another account quipped:
“Nancy Pelosi is just lying right to the American people.”
Not The Bee’s Harris Rigby penned, “What in the world is she talking about?”
One X user said, “Hillary Clinton said that those who spread misinformation should be imprisoned.”
“I present Nancy Pelosi lying about an ‘open primary’ that was in fact a machine coup.”
As we reported this week, Clinton suggested that Americans should be jailed for “wrong speak,” calling for what she claimed as misinformation to be eradicated online.
“There needs to be deterrence,” Clinton stated.
