Anita Dunn, President Joe Biden’s former senior advisor, allegedly admitted his inner circle rejected a cognitive test, a source familiar told the Daily Caller.
Dunn disclosed in her closed door testimony Thursday to the House Oversight Committee that the test was refused due to offering no political advantage, the source stated. (RELATED: Inner Circle Of Advisors At Center Of Biden Coverup Will Testify Before House Oversight Republicans)
Her opening statement was leaked to the media, which claimed Biden “remained throughout [her] interactions with him fully engaged.”
“It’s no surprise Anita Dunn is telling the American people not to believe their own eyes, claiming Joe Biden was sharp and ‘fully engaged,’” a House Oversight Spokesperson told the Caller.

“This opening statement, leaked to the media before Ms. Dunn even delivered it, is yet another example of the absurd lengths Biden loyalists will go to defend his failed presidency,” the spokesperson continued.
Dunn also stated that the former president’s team opted not to do a Super Bowl interview because of information revealed in the February 2024 Department of Justice (DOJ) Special Counsel Robert Hur report, the source told the Caller.
In her opening statement, she claimed Biden remains mentally sharp and fully capable of carrying out his responsibilities.
“While I observed that President Biden aged physically during his time in office, which is something that happens to every President, he remained throughout my interactions with him fully engaged and clear in his directions and supervision,” Dunn’s statement read. “His ability to probe, to find the weakness in an argument, and to make well-informed decisions, did not change during my time in the White House,” she continued.
“I did not observe White House staff making key decisions or exercising the powers of the presidency without President Biden’s knowledge or consent,” Dunn’s statement added. “The President made it clear that decisions rested with him, and White House staff brought issues to him for him to decide.”
“I believed strongly then, and I believe just as strongly today, that Joe Biden was an effective President who accomplished many important things for the American people,” she concluded.
Dunn also claimed she was unaware of Biden’s stutter until it was reported by the media in 2020, despite allegedly knowing Biden since the 1980s, the source told the Caller.
Previously, Dunn served as a senior advisor to the Biden-Harris campaign, where she guided messaging, debate prep and overall strategy, according to her Wall Street Journal (WSJ) bio.

Bruce Reed, a former top Biden White House advisor, told the committee that Biden’s poor debate showing was caused by his stutter, not any issues with cognitive decline on Tuesday.
Two other senior Biden aides, Steve Ricchetti and Mike Donilon, also gave hours of closed-door testimony last week.
