Democrats Struggling To Win Elections, So They’re Going Rogue With Old Tried-And-True Moneymaking Method

Democrats, struggling to win elections, are opting for a tried-and-true method in 2025 to make a quick buck and gain notoriety: heavily marketed books that turn out to be ghostwritten, sleep-inducing duds.

The 107-Day Disaster

Failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris announced Thursday the release of her new book, titled “107 Days.” Kamala’s emphasis on “107 Days” and the “shortest presidential campaign in modern history” suggests she wants Democrats to excuse her defeat due to an inadequate amount of time, not that she was a charmless clod. If anything, the lack of time after Joe Biden’s ouster played into Kamala’s hands. The more Americans saw of her in public, the worse her loss may have been.

We sincerely hope — no, pray — the book was ghostwritten by someone capable of producing a sentence that isn’t garbled nonsense.

Grandstand

Democratic New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker is the king of grandstanding and publicity stunts.

In April, a wide-eyed Booker broke the record for the longest single speech on the Senate floor after he pointlessly rambled against Trump for 25 hours. Later that month, he hosted a live-streamed sit-in protest with Hakeem Jeffries on the steps of Capitol Hill that no one appeared to care about. And, most recently, he beefed with fellow Democratic senator Amy Klobuchar on the Senate floor, lashing out at the Minnesota senator for helping to pass bipartisan police funding bills.

But, as it turns out, Booker’s marathon “filibuster” was merely a stunt to gin up publicity for his new book, “Stand,” which is slated for release in November. Much to readers’ dismay, the book is being marketed as a follow-up to the speech, where he will expand on those themes and regurgitate platitudes about the sanctity of American democracy and the evils of the Trump administration. “This book is about the virtues vital to our success as a nation and lessons we can draw from generations of Americans who fought for them,” Booker said in a statement.

“Stand” will likely read as one, long, epic MSNBC chyron.

Karinge’s Tell-All

Karine Jean-Pierre was once a loyal servant of the Democratic Party, acting as Joe Biden’s chief flak after Jen Psaki decamped for greener pastures at MSNBC. But once more details of the Biden cover-up came to light, and as the former president turned into a persona non grata in Washington, D.C., she announced a ‘pivot’, as the adults say on LinkedIn, and officially left the Democratic Party.

Along with the announcement that she was coming out as an Independent, we learned of her new book, “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines,” set for release in October. The title should read, “Complicit: A Look Inside a Broken White House I Made Worse by Lying to the American People.”

Biden World dunked on their former propagandist — and for good reason.

“She made a joke about being an independent last year and now it’s a book. All ideas are monetary — even the dumb ones,” one former White House staffer told Politico.

“Everyone thinks this is a grift,” another official said of KJP’s book.

“SHE was the public face telling us all that this White House was on track and that Biden was amazing. And now she doesn’t even want to be a Democrat????” yet another official told Politico. “She’s making herself the middle ground here when Republicans hate her. She’s not in any position to be a connector of our two-party system and assuming she could be is just ego.”

Fetterman UNFETTERED

To be fair to Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman, his book might be the most interesting one of those released this year.

Fetterman has won over many conservative fans, owing to his outspoken personality and willingness to buck his party, particularly concerning the Israel-Hamas war. He lacerated Democrats in June for refusing to condemn the violent Los Angeles riots, and told AOC to go pound sand after she advocated for Donald Trump’s impeachment.

Outside of his candor and sloppy wardrobe, the most interesting thing about Fetterman is his dynamic with his wife, Giselle. A Lady Macbeth-esque figure, Giselle, in recent times, has had a knack for publicly sabotaging her husband in what seems to be an attempt to control his political decisions.  (RELATED: Dem Senator’s Camera-Thirsty Wife Does Her Husband Dirty)

Fetterman has long struggled with depression and the debilitating effects of a stroke he suffered in 2022. If he dishes some dirt on, say, a fight with his wife on whether he should resign from office because of his mental health problems — that could be juicy.

Manchin The Maverick

Former Democratic West Virginia Sen. Manchin was once a newsmaker. Like Fetterman, he bucked his party in the Biden era, blocked key Biden nominees, became an Independent, and ripped the former president’s commutations right before his retirement in late 2024. He was once floated as a potential candidate for president. Now, his star has faded, but that does not mean he should go for publishing gold.

His new book, to be released in September, is marketed as a “memoir — and a manifesto — like no other, by a true maverick in American politics.”

“‘Dead Center’ is more than Senator Manchin’s declaration of independence from the extremes on both sides. In this revealing and entertaining memoir, Senator Manchin combines eyebrow-raising, never-before-told stories from inside the Senate and the White House with insights into how government does—or doesn’t—work,” a press release states.

I wouldn’t go so far as to call Joe Manchin a “maverick.” He’s more like a swampy centrist whose wife was handed a cushy sinecure from the Biden administration.
