Meghan Markle is 44!
The Duchess of Sussex celebrated her special day on Monday with husband Prince Harry, their two children Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, and her mom Doria Ragland.
“Blowing out the candles on a beautiful 24 hours, and thanking my husband, friends and family for making it so special,” she wrote on Instagram Tuesday alongside a sweet birthday snap.
“To those of you I don’t know, but who send love every day – thank you so much,” Markle added. “Please know I feel it and appreciate it ❤️”
The duchess also gushed about the birthday dinner she enjoyed in Los Angeles with her closest loved ones.
“And just to get a little foodie on you….this dinner last night at @funke_la with the culinary mastery of @evanfunke and his team is in the top five meals of my life,” she said. “Extraordinary 🍝 Thank you for a standout dining experience.”
While the “Suits” alum’s birthday plans were initially under wraps, she ended up marking the occasion with a low-key soirée surrounded by her nearest and dearest — which no longer includes the Windsor clan.
Like in recent years, the royals – who have had virtually no communication with Markle since her and Harry’s swift departure from royal life in 2020 – will not be sending a public birthday message.
Indeed, the Firm was silent on the “Suits” alum’s 42nd and 43rd birthdays.
It was a stark contrast to the previous year, when the royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla, all publicly shared birthday messages for Markle’s 41st birthday on social media.
“Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday today,” the royals wrote at the time.
The Firm only issues birthday messages to senior working members of the monarchy, while non-working members only receive public messages on milestone birthdays.
In the early hours of her 44th birthday on Monday, Markle shared a video of herself carrying a wicker basket filled with a floral arrangement and bottles of her newly released As Ever rosé line.
“Coming soon…” she teased on As Ever’s Instagram page, alongside a video of her frolicking in the grass at her sprawling Montecito, Calif., estate.
“Goodness in a glass. Right around the corner…” she added, referring to her new 2024 Napa Valley Rosé. “Cheers to August!”
