The Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons ran out the last 14 minutes of their preseason game Friday praying for Morice Norris after he had to be carted off the field in a stretcher due to a head injury.

Both teams decided to stop playing and gather in the middle of Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta after Lions safety Norris, 24, was injured while trying to tackle Falcons running back Nathan Carter in the fourth quarter. Medical staff attended to Norris for about 20 minutes before he was hauled to the ambulance.
After play resumed, the Falcons forfeited a snap and gathered together to pray.
“Man, it’s a violent game, and we love it, but when something like this happens, the silver lining is the brotherhood,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell said after the game when speaking to the media.
