“How can you not be romantic about baseball?”
We’re only a day away from Major League Baseball’s trade deadline (July 31), which means teams left and right are negotiating deals at an incredibly quick rate. Both the Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays are no exception to that. Despite being AL East rivals and squaring off in a doubleheader Tuesday at Camden Yards, they agreed on a trade together. This is what set up quite the scenario for Orioles relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez, who happened to get traded over to the Blue Jays in between the first and second games. Caught on video by Toronto’s social media team, Dominguez walked over to the Blue Jays dugout from the Baltimore clubhouse after finding out he was traded, going from one team to another just like that. And instantly becoming the opposition of his former franchise.
Oh, hi, nice to meet you 👋

To make the situation even crazier, Dominguez also happened to pitch against his former O’s teammates right after the trade. And it’s more unique than you think. Because of the quick trade and just trying to get him a jersey together, Dominguez ended up wearing one that had the “8” on his No. 48 jersey backwards.
