Watch As Elizabeth Warren Takes A Tumble On Senate Floor

Democrat Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren tumbled to the ground on Wednesday during a vote on the Senate floor.

Footage showed Warren attempting to sit on a small desk and fall backward, prompting her Republican colleagues, including Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Susan Collins of Maine, to rush to her aid. Warren managed to get herself up as Cruz gave her a hand.

Republican Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky and John Barrasso of Wyoming also walked over and appeared ready to assist Warren.

The Senate held a vote on two resolutions that intended to block U.S. military sales to Israel, which a record number of Democrats voted in favor of. The resolutions, brought forth by independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, were struck down by every Republican in the chamber and by 20 Democrats.

Former President Joe Biden also notably suffered from several falls during his time as president. In March 2021, footage caught the then-president stumbling on the stairs of Air Force One during a trip in Atlanta, Georgia, and he also accidentally tripped on stage as he attended the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation ceremony on June 1, 2023.

Biden’s personal physician, Kevin O’Connor, warned White House aides that Biden may have had to travel in a wheelchair if he suffered from one more fall, according to Axios’ Alex Thompson and CNN Jake Tapper’s book, “Original Sin.” His aides then went the extra mile to ensure the then-president would not fall again in order to help his chances in the 2024 election.
